GARDENS AT CLACKAMAS COMMUNITY COLLEGE

 June 3rd after my Women writers group, I decided to take a stroll in the gardens area in the back of the community college campus. They'd been working on it for quite a while and I wanted to see what had been done. I used my phone to take photographs. Here is what I saw.

There was a little visitor who seemed unfazed by my presence.

It looks like it will be expanding as well!

They are creating garden beds which will have veggies!

They used to sell veggies every Wednesday and may do so this year.

The green houses in back hold many treasures!

Schreiners Iris Garden - May 25, 2026

 Randy and I took a stroll through Schreiners Iris Gardens near Salem on Monday, May 25th. Right when we got inside, rain started to fall. We decided to continue on and enjoy the day. We did not let it defeat us! There were a few crafters there so we enjoyed seeing their creations. I enjoyed taking photos of the various parts of the garden and it was a nice change having raindrops on the various plants and blooms.  I am posting photos here for you to enjoy and maybe be inspired to take a trip to the garden!

As you can see, they have more than irises in the main display garden.

It is so beautiful!

Sometimes they have plein air artists in there painting scenes!

There are benches scattered throughout, and sometimes people actually have picnics!
