LEAVENWORTH, WA. TRIP AUG 25-28, 2025---PART ONE

This was a short trip to explore an area we have never been to before.  I had seen photos and decided I wanted to explore this area. Randy was willing, so off we went! We reserved our room at Hampton Inn (Hilton chain) and it was very nice! We were surprised at the landscape on our way to Leavenworth!

There are not many trees or lush landscape in this area of Washington.
We saw many windmill farms!  You can see them on the hillsides.
We were also driving through tribal land.
We drove I-84 headed towards The Dalles and went up from there.
Our first day we set out to walk part of the town and quaint little shops.
It turned out to be so hot and humid! I have difficulty handling that kind of weather.
So after a few hours we returned to our room and rested. I actually dozed off!
On the second day we explored more, enjoying the shops and murals and buildings.
Here are photos from the area of Leavenworth,
We ate at Andreas Keller Restaurant sitting outside.
They do have wonderful murals and paintings throughout the area.
You feel like you are in a Bavarian Village.
Next post I will show you photos taken at Cashmere, Washington next door to Leavenworth,
We visited their museum and where Aplets &Coplets are made.! Enjoy Leavenworth!

  4. Picturesque! The statues remind me of the ones in Joseph, OR, and the house murals remind me of the Bavarian houses in Germany.
